Welcome again to my pages. My name is Jan Čeřovský and I’m in the world of computers I'm known as JCsoft (that sounds like something from The Matrix  ...). I'm a really uninteresting person and there are only a few bits of information you might find interesting. I was born somewhere in  the eastern part of The Czech republic in 1981 (or 1980, nobody knows this for sure and my origins are shrouded in a cloak of mystery :-)

I studied at Střední průmyslová škola in Jičín (secondary industrial school). Frustrated by technology I started learning English at Akademie Jana Amose Komenského. After this school I'm going to study at ČVUT in Prague (

Now something about my hobbies. I devote much of my time to a  nearly forgotten activity which was once, many years ago,known as reading. My favourite author is John Ronald Reuel Tolkien. At present I'm fascinated by A. Sapkowski books. I like nearly all fantasy books (except ones with Conan as the main character).
My next big hobby is writing. I love it and do it all the time. Most of my works are short stories. Nobody reads them, they are more strange than good but all the same I love writing them.
And the last of my "non-computer" hobby is listening to good music. I hate modern techno-house-trance music. It reminds me of loading programs for old the ZX Spectrum computer. My favourite bands are Metallica, Queen, Black Sabbath, Jethro Tull, Uriah Heap, Led Zepellin and Deep Purple. I quite like classic music (especially Beethoven and Vivaldi).

And now my hobbies connected with computers. I like making web-pages. I also spend lots of time programming (Delphi, C++, check out my Download section). I also like disembowelling computers and doing experiments with them (like soldering speakers when the computer is running, testing ATX source "by ignition", water cooler "short-circuit")
